IPID Talks are interdisciplinary, non-academic talks that bring a vast audience. We hold many throughout each semester.

IPID Talk: Education and International Development

When:  March 23rd from 2:30-4 PM

Where:  Coffman Union 319, Humphrey School of Public Affairs

Speaker: Dr. Shirley Miske, founder, and president of Miske Witt & Associates Inc. (MWAI)

Dr. Miske will be sharing stories from 20 years of rich experience in international development, working to achieve greater quality and equity in education. MWAI has worked in over 35 countries in Africa, Asia, the Middle East, Eastern Europe, and Latin America. They collaborate with ministries of education, international agencies, and local stakeholders to design and implement initiatives and evaluations that address context-specific issues in education. Their focus areas are gender equality in education, child-friendly schools, teacher professional development, and inclusive education.
