Krister Karlsson, Development Manager at Hunger Solutions Minnesota
Krister Karlsson is Hunger Solutions’ Development Manager and works on fundraising, grant writing, and donor events. Following a year abroad in South America and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Kalamazoo College, Krister moved to Sweden where he earned a Master’s in Politics and International Studies from Uppsala University. Now back at home in Minnesota, he is passionate about non-profit development and fighting for important local causes like anti-hunger advocacy and outreach. Krister joined Hunger Solutions in March 2017 after a decade of experience in academics and the public, private and nonprofit sectors.

Christopher Buckley, Associate Director of Career Services at Humphrey School of Public Affairs
Helping people see and reach their potential is Chris Buckley’s passion, and the reason why he became a career counselor. He has had the good fortune to teach middle school students in Japan, run programs for high potential students in St. Paul, and work with hundreds of University of Minnesota students and alumni. Chris’ experience in higher education includes 10 years in the areas of career services, diversity, admissions, and institutional advancement. At the Humphrey School, Chris teaches career courses, facilitates workshops and helps students and alumni achieve their career goals.
Jennifer Guyer-Wood, Director of Career Services at Humphrey School of Public Affairs
Jen Guyer-Wood manages all aspects of career and professional development and collaborates with student services, alumni relations, development, and many other partners to serve Humphrey students from first contact to graduation and beyond. Having worked in higher education since 1997 in both student affairs and university advancement, she is passionate about helping students achieve success during their educational experiences and after graduation. Jen’s experience includes career advising, teaching college courses, working with testing, assessment, and grants, as well as management and supervision. She loves working with social media, constituent engagement, retention initiatives, and workshop development and facilitation.
